Under the direction of the Manager of Affiliate Marketing, the Affiliate Specialist will be responsible for the execution of online affiliate marketing program and reporting revenue growth for the entire channel for Qurate. The Affiliate Specialist will execute with excellence by utilizing impactful marketing planning and timely delivery of all assets through management of Marketing Coordinators.
This role is the primary point of contact for all execution and planning discussions related to the affiliate marketing channel and will support optimizing and be testing new business opportunities to grow revenue for our evolving affiliate program.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
The Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of all affiliate program needs including executing, optimizing and planning of media campaigns and marketing strategies for digital affiliate marketing program (50% of the time)

  • Executing holistic affiliate marketing strategy and plans to meet/exceed program goals, such as new customer acquisition, revenue growth and moving current customers up the buying strata while maintaining the budget guard rails.
  • Campaign execution and daily management of entire program: Work with affiliate publishers and internal cross-functional teams to execute campaign strategies. Includes managing PeRC/UMO process, campaign execution, gathering images and assets needed for paid placements – delivers them to the publisher and confirms execution. Partnering with creative teams to ensure that all asset is on brand and received promptly
    Provides Analysis and Reporting of the digital affiliate marketing campaign and spend results for this specific vertical (25% of the time)
  • Achieve sales and business targets by optimizing the program daily. Creates and owns all affiliates channel planning. Identifying areas of opportunities to grow the channel
  • Oversee and contributes to reporting & Analysis: Daily, Weekly, Monthly reporting, and monitor spend and sales. Oversee all data entry that is requested by Dir. of Performance Marketing.
  • Partners with Manager to research and test new business opportunities within the online marketing landscape and Stay informed of industry
    Attends and participates in various meetings and conference calls with Manager, Marketing teams, Merchandising, e-commerce, and planning teams. (25% of the time)
  • Advocate and better inform/educate those about the digital affiliate marketing program and help develop and identify promotional strategies
  • Works with cross-functional teams including eCommerce and Merchandising to plan out affiliate support for critical categories and promotions
  • Supports daily management of 3rd party partners and Affiliate Coordinator to develop and execute marketing plans with partners to meet program objectives
  • Follows affiliate network party to stay informed of industry trends and best practices
  • Partner with Business Unit Account Specialists and coordinators for all promos, and offer updates and planning.
    Qualifications:
  • Education: BA/BS in merchandising, marketing, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience required
  • Experience: 3-5 years professional experience, within marketing, communications or eCommerce
  • Must be an energetic self-starter, with the ability to both recommend and initiate work and projects with minimal direction
  • Must be able to work and collaborate with others both internally and externally
  • Must be able to manage relationships with 3rd parties
  • Superior attention to detail, strong time management skills and exceptional follow-through skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • The ability to thrive in a cross-functional, team-work based environment is critical
  • Solid working knowledge of digital marketing – experience with other channels (e.g., Email) is a plus
  • Strong analytical & organization skills
  • Working knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
  • Knowledge of affiliate networks (Commission Junction, Rakuten, Share-a-Sale) is a plus
    Authority
  • Accountable for accurate and timely execution of digital affiliate marketing campaigns and escalating delays to Manager
  • Develop and build relationships with internal Merchandising, e-commerce and Planning teams
  • When needed attend regular meetings with cross-function teams and provides reporting deliverables and ongoing education and updates on best practices as they relate to digital affiliate marketing and internal processes
    Specific Job Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Must have digital affiliate marketing experience, or other online relationship-marketing experience
  • Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, through email, and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, collaborative, cross-functional team-oriented environment. Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and complete multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to evaluate data and make informed decisions based on findings
  • Must exhibit customer focus, excellent time management skills, a professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Recognizing digital Marketing industry trends and making recommendations to the manager based on findings
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Web analytics (Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.) experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Tableau Software, Microstrategy is a plus
    Education:   BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, e-commerce, Merchandising, Public Relations, or related field; or equivalent experience required
